Senate Bill S-203 We are sweating bullets right now waiting for a vote that will take place this week at the Senate in regards to Senate Bill S-203 to end whale captivity in Canada. Vancouver Aquarium lobbyists have presented a report to the Senators that is meant to stop the process. If a majority of Senators vote to continue the process (and we REALLY hope they will!) the Senate Bill will be reviewed clause by clause, as it should be done. However, if the Senators bow to Canadian whale jails, this will put an end to this initiative to ban whale and dolphin performances in Canada. Meanwhile, we have already collected another batch of 500 handwritten signatures on our Senate petition!!! Please send us a quick email if you would like a pdf of the petition to print it out and gather more signatures, or if you have already filled out a petition or two. Thanks for helping out and stay tuned for more to come on this whale of a fight!
