Further to my email yesterday with the video of the party boat "music" that could be heard from Trafalgar Beach (see previous email below), I determined that it was indeed the TYMAC SPRAY who was at fault and not the small boat anchored near the beach, as I heard no music on my return run past the beach and the TYMAC SPRAY no longer showed up on the ship tracker, but the small boat was still there.
I've created a dropbox album with all the screenshots and photos that I've taken from my apartment at 1st and Trafalgar, a few blocks from the beach, each time we heard loud party boat "music" from our balcony or in the apartment. We've often had to close the windows so we wouldn't hear the noise. The metadata of the date and time is included in each shot. I will add screenshots to this dropbox every time I'm home and can hear a party boat.

Sometimes there were several party boats out in the harbour at the same time so it was difficult to determine which one it was at fault. Could have been several.
Perhaps it's time to remind ALL the partyboat owners of the guidelines established in 2015 by the City of Vancouver Liquor Control Dept. And perhaps it's time to revoke a few of the liquor licenses, as every summer it's getting worse, and the owners and partiers don't seem to care about anyone else, just their desire to either make money or to have a good time!
As a reminder, the 2015 City Liquor Control Dept guidelines for party boat music, that the boat owners agreed to, are outlined in my 2015 party boat petition below. It appears that nothing has changed since then, and in fact things are getting worse.
Here's a summary of the time and party boats that you'll see in the dropbox screenshots from June 29 - July 12 and then July 21 - Aug 6. I missed the days in between July 12-21 due to various reasons, but not because there weren't any boats out blasting their "music". Also, I'm sure that there were other nights with noisy party boats, but I may have been out.
I understand that some of these dates were holidays or fireworks night but that doesn't justify anything! The rest of the beach neighbourhoods and beachgoers want to enjoy these beautiful warm summer evenings as well without being subjected to horrible techno pop with its horrible pounding base emanating from partiers out in the harbour. Their "FUN" is at our expense! They don't own our summer evenings.
