The party boat noise appears to be getting worse this summer. Here's my email to Councillor Andrea Reimer <Andrea.Reimer@vancouver.ca>, Alex CLARKE <alex.clarke@vpd.ca>, and the City Business/Liquor License Dept "Cumerlato, Lucia" <lucia.cumerlato@vancouver.ca> in regards to last night's incident. Anyone else hear this?
"Last night the Pacific Yacht Charters was blasting "music" in the Harbour at full force. I took some video from our place at 1st + Trafalgar at 9.25pm, when the boat was well out in the harbour and we could hear the thumping base very clearly from within our apartment. We weren't even sitting outside on the balcony. This boat had been out on its cruise since 5pm, obviously blasting music in the harbour from English Bay to Horseshoe Bay and back during the whole time, before returning to its Coal harbour base at 10pm. I went to the Vancouver Marine traffic website where you can still see the route that it traveled plus the times. I've also attached a screen shot of this plus a couple of screen shots from last night.

There must be a central place where all upcoming cruises are noted so that each one can be warned in advance as to the harbour rules for music. And most certainly all the boat cruise owners can be contacted?
It would be much appreciated if something can be done about this asap so that Vancouverites can enjoy quiet summer evenings at home or at the beach for the rest of the summer without having to listen to this awful noise.
I still thinking that taking away the City liquor license from cruise noise violators is the best defence and the only one that will actually work."
