The petition is at 93 signatures. The City Liquor license department has called the owners of 2 of the major culprits (Queen of Diamonds and Magic Spirit) in for meetings to ask them to turn the noise, but there hasn't been significant change. There have been further incidents involving these 2 boats. On Fri July 24th the Magic Spirit was again out in the harbour blasting loud music and megaphone announcements all over Kits Beach, Kits and English Bay. And one of our supporters filed a 3rd complaint against this boat on Sat Aug 15 as it blasted away between Kits Point and English Bay at around 4.30 pm. On Sunday Aug 2, the Queen of Diamonds passed by Kits Beach/Trafalgar Beach at about 7.30pm and returned around 9.30pm. http://clubzone.com/events/pure-trance-sunset-yacht-party/ The music wasn't as loud as it has been, but still too loud as it left English Bay and headed out into the harbour. And I could hear the pounding base for the next 2 hours, even though the boat was way out in the harbour. Once it was far out in the harbour it was hard to tell as it was competing with the loud music and megaphone of another smaller boat north of Jericho Beach. That went on until about 10.30pm. I wasn't able to identify this boat. And there are other boats out there that we haven't been able to identify. So, please sign and share.
