Valve has recently changed their policy with newly purchased Steam game gifts, resulting in them being untradeable for 30 days. They claim this will be "a better experience of those receiving the gifts", but in reality this change was just enacted so users have to gift each other when trading, resulting in Steam support not being responsible for reversing trades involved with revoked games due to credit card chargebacks / fraud. This change does not help Steam users in the least bit and will result in more scams and a less satisfactory experience for Steam users. We implore Valve to reverse this policy change and seek other alternatives for dealing with scammers on Steam.
