Petition update

Important Update - The fight continues

Jun 7, 2018 — Valve just issued a statement that they have decided to let ALL content on their site. This means games like Active Shooter, where the main goal is to kill children in a school, sexually explicit content, racist content and worse will be allowed on the Steam platform. It's crucial we send the message that this is unacceptable!

If you have Steam, I urge you to delete the app and send an email to the company letting them know you have higher standards for the companies you give your money to. Please tweet to @Steam_Games, @AppStore and @GooglePlay to let them know this is unacceptable.

And please share this petition so we can continue to make our voices heard around this issue. Imagine if Facebook, YouTube, and all the other platforms just raised their hands and relinquished responsibility for the content they allowed on their site. We have to send the message that we expect more from platforms that reach millions of people, and earn billions of OUR dollars. It's unfortunate but abundantly clear that we cannot leave it up to corporations like Valve to make decisions based on basic human decency - because more often than not, they will choose profit. We need to show them with our wallets when they cross the line.

Please delete Steam - this is #NotAGame.
