Say "No" to Deep-Water Terminal & Cement Production on San Francisco Bay. Air and water do not know city limits: Residents of Vallejo and neighboring communities (Benicia, Crocket, American Canyon, Napa), people who live or work in the area may sign. 

On the beautiful San Francisco bay, where it meets the Napa River, is the city of Vallejo. There is a 2-part project proposed to build a cement production plant with deep water terminal for cargo ships: VMT/Orcem. This is currently in a residential area where families with children live.

Though cleaning up the old waterfront and the remains of the 1869-2004 Starr flour mill is good, this is not the right project: Orcem proposes a "green" cement plant, but there is nothing green about slag cement. The company is "greenwashing". This facility would operate 24/7/365 with all the noise, light, and shipping, rail and road traffic through dense residential neighborhoods.
