HI I have spoken in person with both Don Nardella and Paul Tatchell and both state they are aware and working on the issue. Indeed Don Nardella has received another petition (based from the Melton station) with around 1000 signatures. This adds further support to the argument for returning the quality of our rail service. Some of you may be aware that coaches are being used to transport people to Ballarat in the morning, I am unclear as to how helpful this really is. We are working on ensuring the time of departure, from Ballarat to Bacchus Marsh in the afternoon is improved. Though it may mean a bus on the return trip. We have to see what can be sorted. I also pointed out the issue with the peak hour return trips (from Melbourne and Sunshine) and this has been added to the agenda for fast adjustments. So I am hoping we will see some fast corrections as an initial step forward. Then it will be down to the tough work of establishing decent service in both direction for both morning and evening services. In the mean time please keep putting in your feedback to V/Line and PTV re your specific situation so they get really clear on the negative impact to inspire them to take constructive action. As well as encouraging more people to sign this petition. Numbers do matter. Finally please let me know how things go. I will continue to chase up the issue, at least until Peak Hour services are at returned, if not improved upon previous service levels. Cheers Janelle
