First of all, THREE HUNDRED PEOPLE?! That's insane! 

I met with the department head today! She was very vague about the reasons why this is happening, saying it's due to a lot of stuff I'm not aware of and she can't tell me about. I asked what kinds of things and she said personnel and administrative confidential things. She said the program coordinator (Deaf) was in the discussion the whole time, but when I talked to him he said they'd gone over his head. They didn't even show him the letter sent out to announce the ending of the program. She said I could talk to the dean of the education college at USU, so I'm in the process of setting that up. I'll be bringing at least one friend and his interpreter. 

If the dean won't listen, we're going to someone higher. They cannot do this silently.
