Our current Emergency Staffing Policy that states "Employees not returning at the time instructed will have their absence charged to the appropriate leave accruals or leave without pay".
It also states "Upon official release of personnel following suspension of routine operations, such employees will be given emergency leave for the remainder of their scheduled work hours. Emergency leave is granted if the worksite itself is designated as being in "emergency status"."
President Biden declared major disaster exists in the State of Texas and ordered federal assistance to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe winter storms beginning on February 11, 2021, and continuing. So our clinics being closed and us being told not to report to work would fall under the emergency status.
