Facebook showed me some of my memories today and unexpectedly one of the memories it gave was this photo from Xmas 1986 when I was 11 and the presents I received on Xmas day. In the photo quite clearly is my original copy of Usborne's World of the Unknown: Ghosts (now in the possession of my daughter in Australia). What isn't so clear is that I also received my copy of the Usborne Guide to the Supernatural World - its there on the floor just to the left of my "Ghetto Blaster" under its cables. I suspect putting the cables there was strategic on my part because I was probably already fearing the grinning skull on the cover!
