This is, in my opinion, one of the most barbaric practices the wildlife services still use.  I cannot bear to see another animal caught in one of these traps for hours, days, sometimes chewing their leg off to get back to their young to feed or just trying to escape the agony of one hundred pounds of pressure crushing their bones.  I have a hard time using the term "wildlife services" when wildlife is not being served by getting their leg permanently maimed and/or dying by this measure that is still used by trappers.  How about clearly marked > for humans< pits?  Help me end the savage use of steel jawed leg traps by all !
