WE NEED TO SHOW UP THURSDAY AT GOVT PLAZA

!000 Friends of Allendale, we need to fill those seats to let the Commission know that we are watching and we are opposed to Commissioner Lyndon Johnson's resolution declaring support for an Innercity Connector route through Allendalle. The first vote in the work session was disappointing. The commission voted against Allendale by an overwhelming majority. All except for Commissioner Linn, Steven Jackson, and Mike Middleton, voted to declare the already existing loop (3132 and I-220) nonviable and proposed a route through Allendale and people's homes. This is a second vote to confirm on Thursday at 3:30 Everyone that can be there to register their opposition and fill those empty chairs will be an important show of support for the beleaguered, but not broken, Allendale neighborhood group, Loop It. Please share this petition to the Department of Transportation, and please help us on Thursday at 3:30 at Government Plaza, downtown Shreveport if you can. The video picks up at the point in the meeting where the commissioners discussed the resolution and you can see the daunting task of education we are facing. Their arguments don't hold water, but their belief in their own arguments to build are deeply held even if fallacious.
