Calls to the 9th Circuit’s public information office have not been returned as of this writing. We’re still waiting for the judge or the clerks themselves to confirm their departure. Since we haven’t talked to them, we can’t know the particulars of each decision to leave, though it’s a hell of a time to leave what was once considered one of the plumb clerkship opportunities in the country.
