In a significant development and as the case continues to gain international attention, several international and prominent human rights advocates, NGOs, churches and faith groups have come together to call on the French embassy in Istanbul to grant humanitarian/asylum visas to our Algerian members detained in Turkey at risk of deportation.

We have requested that different EU countries issue asylum/humanitarian visas to our persecuted members after being held in Turkey for almost 90 days. We requested France to take in the Algerians and sent similar requests to other European countries to take in the rest of our believers from Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Azerbaijan, Thailand, and Turkey.

We are pleased to announce that the following prominent figures and entities have voiced their support and have called on the Consulate General of France in Istanbul to issue asylum/humanitarian visas to the 15 Algerian members of our faith currently detained in Turkey.

These are: 

The International Multi-Faith Coalition (IMFC). Luis A. Gonzalez, Ambassador – International Multi-Faith Coalition stated today: “We hope that the French Administration agrees to lend its support to this urgent request and help ensure that these 15 persecuted Algerian Ahmadi members can find safety and protection in a new country.” Addressing the French administration he added: “Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to working with you in protecting Freedom of Conscience worldwide.”

لقد طلبنا من دول الاتحاد الأوروبي المختلفة إصدار تأشيرات لجوء /تأشيرات إنسانية لأعضائنا المضطهدين بعد احتجازهم في تركيا لمدة ٩٠ يومًا تقريبًا. طلبنا من فرنسا استقبال الجزائريين، وأرسلنا طلبات مماثلة إلى دول أوروبية أخرى لاستقبال باقي المؤمنين من إيران والعراق والأردن وفلسطين وأذربيجان وتايلاند وتركيا

يسعدنا أن نعلن أن الشخصيات والكيانات البارزة التالية قد أعربت عن دعمها ودعت القنصلية العامة لفرنسا في اسطنبول لإصدار تأشيرات لجوء / تأشيرات إنسانية لخمسة عشر من أعضاء ديانتنا الجزائريين المحتجزين حاليًا في تركيا

وهم كالآتي:

 التحالف الدولي لتعدد الأديان، صرح لويس غونزاليس، السفير - التحالف الدولي لتعدد الأديان اليوم: "نأمل أن توافق الإدارة الفرنسية على تقديم دعمها لهذا الطلب العاجل والمساعدة في ضمان أن يجد أعضاء دين السلام والنور الأحمدي الجزائريين الخمسة عشر المضطهدين الأمان والحماية في بلد جديد"، وأضاف مخاطبًا الإدارة الفرنسية: "أشكركم على اهتمامكم بهذا الأمر، نتطلع إلى العمل معكم لحماية حرية الضمير في جميع أنحاء العالم".
