The widespread persecution faced by members of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light continues to have significant repercussions on a global scale.
We have received distressing news regarding one of the members of the faith from Pakistan. Fleeing persecution in his home country, Shakeel Hussain Muhammad Younas recently turned himself in at the Mexico-US border. Presently, he is being held at the Otero County Processing Center located in New Mexico where he’s currently lodging his claim for asylum.
We also received the unfortunate news of one of our members in Germany committing suicide due to extreme depression induced by the persistent persecutions suffered by the members of the faith. Out of respect for the grieving family, we refrain from disclosing the individual's name.
In a significant development, the British foreign office has contacted us today to convey their intent to dispatch a formal letter to the Turkish government. This correspondence aims to inquire about the response anticipated from the Turkish authorities regarding the complaint filed with the public prosecutor. The complaint pertains to the illegal detainment and physical violence endured by UK nationals Sermad Al-Khafaji and Alexandra Foreman.
Our legal representatives are also actively submitting three letters of complaint to the Turkish public prosecutor. These submissions are made on behalf of Turkish citizen Hassan Oyandi, UK nationals Alexandra and Sermad, as well as on behalf of the remaining 104 individuals who have been subjected to physical abuse.
Furthermore, the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light is currently preparing to submit an audio video declaration intended for the UN Special Rapporteur on Migrants in coordination with CAP/Liberté de Conscience. This declaration is planned to be presented during the Human Rights Council's 53rd session, allowing us to bring attention to the plight of Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light asylum seekers and highlight the urgent need for their protection.
We remain dedicated to raising awareness about the current plight of the 104 members of the faith, as well as the persisting persecution and human rights violations endured by adherents across the globe. We will continue to advocate for the safety of our detained members, as well as their fundamental right to lawfully seek asylum in a secure nation.

وفي تطور هام، اتصلت بنا وزارة الخارجية البريطانية اليوم لإبلاغنا بعزمها على إرسال خطاب رسمي إلى الحكومة التركية. تهدف هذه المراسلة إلى الاستعلام عن الرد المتوقع من السلطات التركية بشأن الشكوى المقدمة إلى المدعي العام. تتعلق الشكوى بالاحتجاز غير القانوني والعنف الجسدي الذي تعرض له المواطنان البريطانيان سرمد الخفاجي وألكسندرا فورمان
يقوم المحامون لدينا أيضًا بتقديم ثلاث رسائل شكوى إلى المدعي العام التركي، هذه الشكاوى مقدمة نيابة عن المواطن التركي حسن أوياندي والمواطناين البريطانين ألكسندرا وسرماد، وكذلك نيابة عن الـ ١٠٤ فرد المحتجزين والذين تعرضوا جميعاً للإيذاء الجسدي
