Urgent Support Needed for Arvind Jobanputra: Dementia Care Failing a Vulnerable Resident

Urgent Support Needed for Arvind Jobanputra: Dementia Care Failing a Vulnerable Resident
The Issue
My father, Arvind Jobanputra, has been diagnosed with dementia. Despite his vulnerable condition, my family and I have received no meaningful support from Belgrave Housing Association or Leicester City Council Adult Social Care.
I, Rupesh Jobanputra, hold Power of Attorney (POA) for my father, yet my concerns and efforts to secure his care have repeatedly been ignored. For years, I have tried to ensure my father’s safety, dignity, and proper care, but the lack of support has left me struggling.
Arvind Jobanputra has also been targeted and exploited financially in Leicester due to his good nature and willingness to help others. Despite my legal authority as POA, Belgrave Housing Association and Leicester City Council continue to question his capacity and fail to provide the necessary care and protection.
I have evidence from GP and neurologist reports confirming that my father lacks capacity and falls under the Mental Health Act 2005.
I Call for Urgent Action to:
Recognise and respect my legal role as Power of Attorney.
Provide appropriate housing, care, and safety measures for my father.
Offer clear communication, accountability, and timely support to families caring for loved ones with dementia.
No one living with dementia should be left without care, and no family should have to fight endlessly for basic compassion and protection.
Thank you for your support,
Rupesh Jobanputra & family
