We are urgently calling on Maitland City Council to reconsider the proposed destruction of BIGGIE, a much-loved family dog who has been declared menacing under the NSW Companion Animals Act.

Biggie is not just a dog. He is family. He is loved, he has a home, and his life matters.

We understand the importance of protecting our community and keeping everyone safe. However, we believe Biggie deserves a fair review and consideration of every lawful alternative before an irreversible decision is made.

We are asking Maitland City Council to:

STOP the proposed destruction of Biggie while his case is reviewed.
Give Biggie's family a fair opportunity to challenge the decision.
Consider professional behavioural assessments and appropriate safety measures.
Explore every lawful and reasonable alternative to euthanasia.
Show compassion while ensuring public safety is protected.
Once Biggie's life is taken, there is no bringing him back.

We are not asking for the law to be ignored. We are asking for fairness, compassion and the opportunity to save a much-loved family member.
