The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia's (ICBC) Enhanced Care model, purportedly designed to provide more affordable auto insurance and better support accident victims, has been met with widespread criticism, operational failures, and a multitude of harms to the very citizens it was meant to protect.
Premier David Eby, as leader of the NDP government, has overseen the implementation of this model during his tenure, which has failed to deliver on its promises and caused serious harm to injured British Columbians and their loved ones.
Democracy demands accountability. When government conceals or distorts the truth about legislation that removes fundamental legal rights, it forfeits the trust and consent of the people. An early election is not only justified — it is necessary.
