**PLEASE SEE UPDATE BELOW - IMPORTANT MEETING - 26 AUGUST**

We are calling for a PAUSE on the scheduled construction of the Freshwater State School (FSS) hall, car park and associated works which is due to start on 24 August. Given the limited, last minute and conflicting information received about the project we request more time to consider the plans, and provide input to ensure an optimum result. 

As committed members of the FSS school community, and the broader Cairns community, we have a stake in ensuring the school environment works for kids, FSS staff and the public. There are a range of concerns about the project and we believe community input is the only way to make this development work for everyone.
