The Issue

We are calling on NHS Lincolnshire ICB and North Kesteven District Council to step in before the healthcare situation in Witham St Hughs becomes dangerous.

Getting a doctor’s appointment shouldn't feel like winning the lottery. Families in Witham St Hughs are currently waiting days just to get sick children or elderly relatives seen at Bassingham Surgery, which is severely overstretched trying to cover our expanding population.

Official council data shows another 818 approved homes are still to be built in our village. Pushing hundreds more families onto an already overwhelmed GP practice without providing dedicated local healthcare facilities is completely unsustainable.

We demand that decision-makers:

  1. Show us where the developer money (Section 106) collected for local healthcare has actually gone.
  2. Publish a clear plan to expand GP capacity for Witham St Hughs—including exploring a local branch surgery or clinic in the village.
  3. Provide immediate funding for more appointments and clinical staff to support our growing community.
