We urgently call on the Lafayette Parish School Board to maintain the operation of Paul Breaux Middle School for all zoned, gifted, and immersion students. This historical school serves as a vital educational institution in our community, providing education to hundreds of students. Displacing these students and faculty members would cause significant disruption and negatively impact their education. We request that LPSS find alternative locations for storage facilities rather than using this valuable educational space.

Furthermore, we urge board members to consider keeping both immersion and gifted programs within the same school environment. These programs foster diversity, inclusivity, and academic excellence among the student population.
