Firstly - thank you for helping us to get this far with the campaign - we currently have over 354,000 signatures and could not have got this far without so many of you signing and sharing, so please continue to do so!

Secondly - unfortunately, last week, parliament did not pass the amendment to strengthen protections for child refugees seeking family reunion after Brexit. This means that the UK will continue to negotiate with the EU for family reunion as a discretionary scheme, with no appeals system. So many vulnerable children could lose their rights because of this.

Which is why we are sharing a petition with you, calling on the European Council to find a suitable replacement for family reunion in the UK after Brexit.

The EU Commission does not currently have instructions on negotiation family reunion with the UK - we could get them to change this, and make a difference to child refugees.
