Let's show the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) how much we love bears.
Last month we learned that the WDFW was considering reinstating the spring bear hunt after being threatened and bullied by trophy hunters. The bear hunters started a Change petition to reinstate the hunt three months before we created our petition to ban the spring black bear hunt in Washington permanently. The trophy hunter's petition had over 20,000 signatures at the start of our petition, and now we have far exceeded their support with over 34,000 signatures despite their three-month head start.
Please email the WDFW Commissioners and include our petition to let them know that the minority special interest hunting groups will NEVER outweigh the majority of their stakeholders in opposition to spring bear hunting.
