Yesterday was World Wildlife Day. Sadly, instead of posting about true conservation success stories, thriving wildlife populations, and ecosystems, we had to advocate to save animals from trophy hunters and the government agencies charged with protecting them. The Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife (WDFW) wants to establish a permanent spring bear hunting season. We are the only thing standing in the way of corrupt wildlife officials and bear killers.

Please follow our friends at Washington Wildlife First. They played a significant role in halting the spring bear hunt season. Now they're fighting to stop it from being reinstated.
