Dear Supporters,

What matters most? Food free of contamination is certainly high up on the list. Fukushima pops up in the news every so often, but the radioactive fallout from the ongoing disaster site is ongoing. TEPCO utility recently completed a third round of radioactive ocean dumping. There's no aftermath. And that's a fact, regardless of Japan's Prime Minister publicly proclaiming with a smile that Fukushima seafood is "safe and delicious".  The U.S. Ambassador is also singing the praises of seafood caught off the coast of Fukushima Daiichi. Fumio Kishida and Rahm Emanuel are in their mid-60's, and if they insist on eating fish caught off coast from the site of the worst nuclear disaster in world history, so be it. Cancers take 10 years or longer to develop.

I'm more concerned about kids and pregnant women, and others who aren't grandstanding for economic reasons.  U.S. military families are being sold Fukushima seafood on bases right now along with ordinary citizens elsewhere who are all the target of a misguided marketing strategy designed to compensate Japan's government from economic loss due to food bans issued by other countries. The same countries that are working to protect their citizens from Fukushima's radioactive impact. Here in the U.S., it's up to all of us to be mindful and involved because our government has yet to stand up for us.

Your help is needed to continue raising awareness as FFAN seeks to change public health policy. Today is a great opportunity to show your support ~
