Urgent: FBI search, Amber Alert & Search Warrants needed to find Ja'Niyah McMichael-Rogers
The Issue
Dear,
Mayor Eddie Melton. Chief of Police, Derrick Cannon
Indiana Clearinghouse
Indiana State Police ,Indiana FBI
This letter is to voice an Indiana state-wide and now national concern for 13-year-old Ja'Niyah McMichael-Rogers,last seen in Gary, Indiana reportedly on August 11,2024
around 12:47 a.m.
Missing Lost And Trafficked is urging the Gary Police Department, Indiana State Police Department and Indiana Clearinghouse collaborate to make a meaningful attempt to locate Ja'Niyah.
We are requesting the following actions be taken:
●Request FBI join search
●Activate a statewide Amber Alert for Ja'Niyah McMichael-Rogers
●Secure search warrants for property, electronic devices and social media accounts connected to persons of interest in connection with Ja'Niyah McMichael-Rogers disappearance
We believe circumstances surrounding Ja'Niyah's disappearance meets criteria the Indiana Clearinghouse requires.
Firstly, Missing Lost And Trafficked submitted a tip to the Gary Police Department regarding a possible sighting of Ja'Niyah accompanied by an adult male in the West Woodlawn neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois after she was reported missing.
Second, Jasmine McMichael, Ja'Niyah's mother, has given conflicting statements regarding
the time period she realized Ja'Niyah was not inside the family’s home near 19th and Virginia street.
Missing Lost And Trafficked has text messages and social media messages from family members and community activist who say Ms. McMichael told them she noticed her daughter was missing around 12:47 a.m on August 11,2024.
However, Ms.McMichael told
ABC 7 Chicago News "when she got up early the next morning to get the kids up for school, she found the home's front door ajar, the back door unlocked, and her oldest daughter gone."
Third, text messages between Ms.McMichael and another Individual reveal she wanted to relinquish custodial rights to Ja'Niyah and her siblings in June of 2024. "I can't do it
anymore, and yes it will fix all the pain I feel," an outgoing message sent from a phone registered to Jasmine A. McMichael states.
Based on disturbing circumstances surrounding Ja'Niyah'sdisappearance,
Missing Lost And Trafficked
believes the missing teen could
be at risk of bodily harm and
possibly abducted by an individual
with malicious intent.
Therefore, we are urging the Gary Police Department to request an Amber Alert be activated in the state of Indiana for Ja'Niyah McMichael-Rogers. Furthermore, we are requesting the Gary Police Department request assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Indiana with finding Ja'Niyah. Lastly, Missing Lost And Trafficked is urging the Gary Police Department to secure search warrants for electronic devices, property and social media accounts of persons of interest connected to Ja'Niyah's disappearance.
Sincerely,
Cherise Wilson also known as "Pebbles " Founder of Missing Lost And Trafficked
