Finally! LA has a District Attorney that will prosecute drug crimes! Just think if we had that here in Santa Cruz…people could get the help that they need, and kids wouldn’t have to dodge meth smoke while riding bikes on the levee. Instead, under the guise of “compassion” we have a DA, judges and public defenders that don’t care if the people they see coming through their offices and courtrooms die in the gutter from fentanyl. It’s not compassion, it’s insane.
Hannah Roger’s with the Public Defender’s office stated, “Every single one of my clients is a complicated human being who carries their own life story,” she said. “It seems to me that it’s only fair to try to understand that bigger context.”
When was the last time the Public Defenders walked the levee to see what their “clients” were really up to? When was the last time they thought about the damage their “clients” do to the innocent citizens of Santa Cruz county who are just trying to get through their day without being assaulted and robbed. The Public Defender’s office are the ones who inspired us to start this petition. They worked diligently to reduce a person’s charges who was perpetrating the worst kind of sex crime. Next time you see anyone from that office speak publicly about “compassion,” think about the compassion they showed to the victim of years-long sexual assault.
Along with the courts and DA, the Santa Cruz Public Defender’s office is a major part of the problem. They’re a piece of the trifecta of lunacy that makes downtown less safe, that allows drug addicts to invade our parks, that decriminalizes the bike theft epidemic. It needs to stop.
Federal Law Enforcement?
Here’s a video of what’s happening right now in MacArthur Park in Los Angeles. Since our local “justice system” refuses do the right thing we need Federal Law Enforcment to come in and take care of business!
