Gina Carano Suing Disney and Says Disney Put Her Life in Danger
In case you have not heard about it, Gina Carano is now suing Disney for firing her from the Mandalorian. Elon Musk and X (formally known as Twitter) our funding her lawsuit. Although I fully believe that, everyone has a right to a fair trial, and to defend themselves when they feel like they have been wronged, I feel like with this entire situation and with Vancouver Fan Expo just a week away this could cause more controversy at this event.
It is guaranteed that there’s going to be people that are going to be asking about this lawsuit from people who don’t agree about it to people who do agree about it. I do feel like this could become a very heated topic, especially because there are politics involved as well. Politics is always a heated topic, and there are a lot of people out there, who have very strong, political views however, they are.
Especially, because Gina is claiming that Disney put her life in danger after firing her from Lucas films and the Mandalorian, this just sounds really controversial adding to the already controversial part of Gina just being a guest.
I truly hope at this point that a Fan Expo continues to have Gina as a guest that they are fully aware of everything that is happening right now with this lawsuit and everything surrounding it. I really hope that Fan Expo at this point considers hiring extra security for Gina‘s panel and her booth, not just for her safety, but for the safety of everyone attending this event.
As someone who is a centrist, and does not side politically and base my opinions on what seems just and fair, and what is ethical, and where I believe in equality for all, I really hope anyone reading this petition and reading this right now, and who will be attending this Expo does not do anything to try to incite any kind of violence in any kind of way, whatever side you are on, politically, or whether you support Gina or you do not. Please let’s make this event be fun and safe for everyone.
Once again, after the many years of attending, Fan Expo, I have never had concerns over the safety of people attending until now, so please be safe everyone and please be civil with one another.
