As a passionate user of Source Film Maker (SFM) and a firm believer in Artificial Intelligence, I perceive the innovation as an enormous benefit, not just to me, but to the Generation Alpha, our next generation of artists who are keen on embracing AI for creativity. SFM holds a unique space in the animation world, and it's time to make it even better. Although I enjoy utilizing SFM over any other animator, I believe that there is an essential aspect missing: an AI assistant. This change wouldn't substitute experienced users but would simply provide a tool that helps newcomers and aids seasoned creators.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is progressing at a blistering speed, and its use in various sectors has advanced exponentially in the last decade (MIT Technology Review, 2017). AI technology is expected to impact all facets of life, including the arts, influencing the Generation Alpha significantly. These youngsters are predicted to adapt to AI more effortlessly and utilize it much more commonly in their creative pursuits (Pew Research, 2020).

By integrating an AI assistant into SFM, Valve has the opportunity to be a pioneer in this development, leading the way for other animation software to follow. It's time for Valve Corporation to recognize this critical need and implement an AI assistant within SFM, sustaining an interface that continues to be user-friendly while fostering creativity and increasing efficiency.
