With the halls of residence still closed, we are left with no option but to spend an exorbitant amount on transport fares to and from the campus. This is affecting our financial stability, our academic performance, and ultimately, our mental well-being.

The closure of the halls has transformed what should be a time of learning and growth into a daily struggle against time and resources. For many students, the financial stress is overwhelming. The costs of commuting in Lagos are steep, and money that could have been used for academic materials or daily sustenance is instead spent on transportation. This situation is unsustainable and must be addressed as a matter of urgency.
