Residents on Arcanum-Ithaca Road and surrounding residents are deeply concerned about the proposed cell tower that Towerco plans to erect. Towerco's planned action could drastically alter our lives and the value of our homes. In addition to the effects on property value, we are worried about potential safety hazards. High winds and tornadoes are a common occurrence in Darke County, which could make a cell tower in such proximity to our homes a substantial risk. Not to mention, cell towers are known to pose fire and collapse hazards, which are heightened in severe weather situations.

Our main concern is if this tower was to fall, it could potentially land on the road or even someone's property. Apart from the risk to properties, such a tower could disrupt the wildlife we are proud to share our community with. Furthermore, there are potential health risks associated with living close to a cell tower, many of which are still unknown due to a lack of extensive research.

Also, it is important to mention that the public notice required by law to be issued never reached us, adding insult to injury. This lack of communication only adds to our fear and distrust about the project.

We stand united with other residents of Darke County in opposition to the tower's current planned location. Our plea to Towerco is to consider the intimate scale of our community, assess the potential damage to property value, and evaluate the legitimate environmental concerns and safety risks this construction presents.

Ultimately, we request the relocation of the cell tower in a place where it poses no risk to people, property, or nature.
