Urge the UK Government to Launch a National Inquiry into Decades of Systemic Abuse
The Issue
As a woman and a mother of a vulnerable daughter, having myself been raised on a very rough council estate in the North of England and realising it could quite easily have happened to me, I feel the need as a concerned citizen to call for your attention and action. This petition demands urgent action from the UK Government to undertake a national inquiry into the historic, rape, abuse and trafficking by predominantly Pakistani Muslim Paedophile criminal gangs that have been left unchecked for decades within over 50 towns and cities throughout our nation.
The crimes committed have been primarily targeted towards young, vulnerable children and girls and has been heavily propagated by groups rooted in a culture of misogyny and a blatant disregard for women's rights. These are men hailing from specific cultures, predominantly Pakistani Muslim, where the oppression of women is deeply ingrained, creating an environment that profoundly endangers the safety and dignity of British women and girls.
A full independent National enquiry into this grave matter is absolutely essential if we are to identify the precise scale of the problem and also determine exactly how it has been able to propagate for so long the length and breadth of our nation. Such an enquiry will also point out any systemic failures, coverups and corruption within local government, law enforcement and child protection agencies, thereby enabling the implementation of strategies to prevent such horrifying incidents from recurring in the future.
Those responsible for the heinous crimes perpetrated on our own soil must be held fully accountable. Equally important is an understanding and tackling of the root causes of such activities, in order to prevent them from happening again. The safety of women and girls in the UK has to be a priority. We cannot afford to turn a blind eye to this issue any longer.
This is not a plea for animosity towards a particular religious or ethnic community. Instead, it is a plea for justice, for the safety of our daughters, and for a Britain where every citizen, irrespective of their biological sex, can live free of fear.
Let's urge the UK Government to act. Please sign this petition to launch a national inquiry into these systemic abuses.
