Trump and his administration are effectively using tariffs to bully and get their own way. The only evidence we have of Trump engaging meaningfully is when leaders have stood up to him. Starmer in trying to be reasonable with Trump and it will simply be seen as weak and ineffective, (that second state visit did not get us much did it...)

Unless leaders stand up to Trump he will become more emboldened to attack and undermine Europe and the UK.
