March for Peace Programme

Program Outline:

6.00am

• Gathering of participants at the starting point.

• March rules by Samoans For Ceasefire.

• Brief introduction of the purpose of the peace march.

6.30am March Kick-off

• Participants begin the march in an orderly fashion.

• Chants and slogans promoting peace and unity.

• Songs of unity

• Placards and banners with positive messages can be displayed.

7.30am Gathering in front of the Government Building:

Participants to gather in front of the government building, with assistance/direction from Samoans For Ceasefire organising group.

7.45am Opening of Peace March:

• Prayer ceremony by Rev. Onosa’i So’o

• Opening Remarks: Samoans for Ceasefire

8.00am Peace reflections

• Open mic for peacekeepers to share and reflect on the impact of what is happening in Palestine

• Singing and chanting for peace, humanity and love.

9.00am Petition Presentation

• Handover remarks of the petition by Tanya Toailoa to a Representative of Government.

• Handover of petition document.

• Responding commentary from SFC to Rep. of Government.

9.30am Closing

• Samoans For Ceasefire thanks to participants for their involvement & emphasize the impact of collective efforts for peace.

• Sing Lo Ta Nuu & Ua Faafetai!
