Israel continues to enforce a full blockade of life saving aid for the 2 million people in Gaza. With a minimal amount of aid entering the strip and almost no food and clean water, Gaza has reached stage 5 of malnutrition which, experts say, is irreversible. As a country that maintains diplomatic relations with Israel, the Government of India possesses the leverage to pressure Israel for easing these restrictions. We call on the Government to use its influence to compel Israel to open Gaza's borders and permit the inflow of life-saving aid and provisions.
