Urge the Egyptian Government to Address Animal Cruelty at the Pyramids

Urge the Egyptian Government to Address Animal Cruelty at the Pyramids
The Issue
I have witnessed the heart-wrenching cruelty inflicted upon working horses, donkeys & camels in Egypt, particularly around the Pyramids. These animals are subjected to harsh conditions without proper care, rest, nutrition and water, which is not only ethically wrong but also against international animal welfare standards, and the Muslim faith.
According to a report by Society for Protection of Animal Rights in Egypt (SPARE), there are approximately 3 million working equines in Egypt who often suffer from malnutrition, overwork, and lack of veterinary care. This situation is exacerbated by economic hardship and lack of awareness about animal welfare among their handlers.
The Egyptian government has a responsibility towards these sentient beings who contribute significantly to local tourism and economy. We urge them to enforce stricter regulations on animal treatment, provide necessary resources for their health and well-being, and educate handlers on proper animal care practices.
By signing this petition, you are standing up against animal cruelty and advocating for improved living conditions for these hardworking animals. Let's give them the respect they deserve. Please sign this petition today!
