Urge the Colorado Legislature to Launch a 4-Day Workweek Pilot

Urge the Colorado Legislature to Launch a 4-Day Workweek Pilot
The Issue
We urge the Colorado Legislature to establish a 4-day, 32-hour workweek without loss of pay.
Did you know we are 400% more productive now than we were in the 1950s? And less than 33% of employees feel engaged at work?
It's time to reclaim your life!
Research and pilot programs around the world — from Iceland to the UK, United States, Japan, and many other countries — show that a shorter workweek improves productivity, reduces burnout, strengthens family and community life, and reduces utility expenses.
We call on lawmakers to begin with state-backed pilot programs and business incentives, such as tax credits or grants, to support employers in trialing the 32-hour workweek. These pilots will provide real data and success stories from Colorado, paving the way for a permanent statewide standard.
Colorado should lead the way in building a healthier, fairer, and more productive future of work.
This petition is organized by WorkFour Colorado, a grassroots chapter of the national WorkFour movement advocating for a 4-day, 32-hour workweek without loss of pay. WorkFour CO is an independent volunteer-led effort and is not affiliated with any government entity or political party.
For more information regarding studies of the 32-hour workweek and a company directory of organizations who have already implemented this practice in the great state of Colorado, please view our website.
If you are a business owner or an employee who would like to participate in our 32-hour workweek pilot program, please contact katrina.stroud@workfour.org.
Katrina Stroud cofounded WorkFour Colorado, because she believes every human being is entitled to rest and relaxation. We are all given one life on this beautiful earth and we shouldn't waste it inside of an office cubicle.
