The Issue

As members of The Period Project team at Texas A&M University, we have experienced firsthand the inconvenience and disruption caused by unexpected periods. We've had to miss classes and even exams due to lack of access to a simple pad or tampon at Aggie express locations and bathrooms. Over the past 5 months, we have been conducting anonymous surveys among our fellow students, collecting stories and usage analytics that highlight this issue and prove it is a significant difficulty for many menstruating students.

The data collected reveals a significant number of students who have had similar experiences. This is not just an inconvenience; it's a barrier to education for those affected. If toilet paper is freely available in restrooms across campus, why aren't pads and tampons?

We are calling on the administration and leaders of Texas A&M University to provide free and accessible menstrual hygiene products for all students. This small change can make a big difference in ensuring that no student has their education interrupted due to their biological needs.

We urge you - sign this petition today so that every student at Texas A&M can focus on what truly matters - their education!
