My family, my community, and I have been attending the TARIC Islamic Centre for many years, and Shaykh Imran Ally has been a bedrock of the mosque for close to 30 years. His wisdom, dedication, and heartfelt connection with worshippers of all ages have made the TARIC Islamic Centre not just a place of worship but a cornerstone of our community here in Toronto, Canada.

His leadership and compassion have guided us through spiritual and societal challenges, enriching our lives and fostering unity within our diverse congregation. The unexpected dismissal of Shaykh Imran Ally from his position as Imam on July 2, 2025 has left a void that deeply affects the community he devoted himself to over decades.

Shaykh Imran is not just a religious leader; he embodies the values and teachings of our faith, providing support and understanding to everyone who walks through the mosque's doors. His absence is keenly felt, not just during prayers, but in the many social and educational programs he initiated and supported.

We understand that organizations undergo changes, but the decision to remove Shaykh Imran Ally lacks transparency and disregards the voices and wishes of many community members who feel closely connected to his invaluable presence.

We urge the TARIC Islamic Centre to reconsider and reinstate Shaykh Imran Ally as the Imam. Doing so would honor his unwavering service and restore the sense of community and continuity that is essential for our spiritual and personal well-being. Let us come together to support a leader who has supported us so devotedly.
