Petition: Reopen the Superintendent Search

The superintendent is the most important job in our school system — the person who sets the standards and shapes the policies our children learn under.

The Sharon School Committee selected a new superintendent with minimal discussion, zero public input, and without searching for or interviewing a single candidate — in violation of its own selection policies. With the current superintendent's term running through next year, there is ample time to do this right.

We call on the School Committee to reopen the superintendent selection and conduct a thorough, transparent process — one with genuine community input and a real pool of candidates — so we choose the best person for our schools.
