Urge Sephora to Remove Huda Beauty Products

The Issue

Sephora customers, beauty consumers, and supporters of human rights are calling on Sephora to suspend its partnership with Huda Beauty until its founder, Huda Kattan, meaningfully addresses her public promotion of Iranian regime propaganda.

During the Iranian people’s ongoing protests, millions of Iranians have risked their lives to oppose a government that has responded with mass arrests, executions, torture, and the killing of protesters, including many young people. This movement is widely recognized as a major human rights struggle.

In this context, Huda Kattan used her platform to share and amplify content that aligned with Iranian regime narratives. These posts were widely condemned by Iranians, journalists, and human rights advocates for spreading misleading and harmful messaging that undermines the reality of state violence and repression. Many Iranians stated that her content echoed the same propaganda used by the regime to discredit protesters and justify brutality.

Despite widespread backlash, Huda Kattan has not taken meaningful accountability for the harm caused. Her responses have been viewed by many as dismissive of the Iranian people whose lives are at stake.

By continuing to carry Huda Beauty without addressing this issue, Sephora risks associating its brand with a figure who used her influence to legitimize an authoritarian regime during a human rights crisis. This directly contradicts Sephora’s stated values of inclusion, empowerment, and social responsibility.

We call on Sephora to temporarily suspend Huda Beauty products until:

• Huda Kattan acknowledges the harm caused by her posts
• Retracts or corrects misleading content
• Demonstrates a clear commitment to human rights and accountability

This action would send a strong message that Sephora does not tolerate the amplification of authoritarian propaganda or the silencing of oppressed voices.

We urge Sephora to stand with the Iranian people and with all who believe that beauty brands should not profit from misinformation or injustice. Sign this petition to demand accountability, ethics, and respect for human dignity.
