According to the 25th Amendment, the president may voluntarily step aside if he is unable "to discharge the powers and duties of his office", whereby the vice president would assume these responsibilities.

To that end, this petition is an appeal to President Joseph Biden to invoke the 25th Amendment and pass his presidential duties to Vice President Kamala Harris for the remainder of the term.
