Wilma Acosta, a beloved member of our community and my friend since high school, has been missing. Her absence is deeply felt by all who know her. We are writing this petition to urge the Portland Police Department to continue their search until she is found. Wilma's disappearance has left a void in our lives and in the heart of our community.

She is not just another statistic - she is a daughter, sister, friend and an integral part of Portland's fabric. According to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs), over 600,000 individuals go missing in the United States every year. However, each one of them matters - each one has a story that deserves closure.

We understand that resources are limited and there are many cases requiring attention. Yet we believe that it's crucial for law enforcement agencies like the Portland Police Department to persist in their efforts until every missing person case is resolved.
