Urge Nintendo to prioritize fans over profits

The Issue

Nintendo has recently taken actions that have left many fans feeling alienated and frustrated. Personally, I have experienced the brunt of their decisions and I urge fellow fans and supporters to join in calling for change.

Firstly, Nintendo sued Palworld for patent infringement—a move that appears to reflect more of a corporate greed-fueled decision than a necessary legal action. This lawsuit stands as yet another indication of the company's prioritization of profit over collaboration and community support.

Moreover, the introduction of the Nintendo Switch 2 features a substantial increase in pricing, both for the console and its games. The price tags attached to these products, reportedly ranging from $80-$100 for a single game, makes access challenging for many fans and is a stark departure from the earlier consumer-friendly pricing strategies.

Beyond the legal and pricing issues, Nintendo failed to address my request regarding the use of Pokémon characters for my dream game, "Rift Monsters," which would feature characters from Pokémon, Digimon, Palworld, Yo-Kai Watch, Temtem, and other beloved monster-taming franchises. By not responding, Nintendo showed a lack of transparency and unwillingness to engage with its creative fanbase.

In the midst of their legal battle, Nintendo also made desperate attempts to alter patents, suggesting yet another move to secure their stronghold against competition rather than fostering creativity and innovation.

If things continue as they have been, Nintendo risks alienating their most passionate supporters. We demand that Nintendo halts unnecessary lawsuits, reconsiders their inflated pricing strategy, begins active engagement with fans, and genuinely values their input.

Join me in urging Nintendo to stop prioritizing profits over people. Let's push for a change that makes us feel seen, heard, and valued by the company we've supported for years. Please sign this petition to demand Nintendo listens to its community instead of operating solely for financial gain.
