I am a longtime resident of 10X Weston, a neighborhood that was formerly known as San Michelle. Over the years, the quality of service we have received from our single internet provider, Blue Stream Fiber, has been highly disappointing. The lack of competition in our area has allowed this subpar service to prevail, leaving many of us dissatisfied.

In an age where the internet underpins everything we do – from working, studying, accessing healthcare services, shopping, to keeping in touch with loved ones - having a reliable internet connection isn't a luxury, it's an essential utility. Unfortunately, the monopoly of Blue Stream Fiber in our community has left many of us feeling frustrated and powerless.

According to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), lack of competition in the broadband market is a perennial issue. Their 2020 report states that a third of the population has no choice for internet service, experiencing the same frustration that we are facing in 10X Weston.

This is a call to action for authorities and potential internet service providers. We urge you to consider setting up in our neighborhood to help us break free from the substandard services of Blue Stream Fiber. We need and deserve a better choice for our internet service provider.
