I’ve lived this. I know what it feels like to be pushed out of my child’s life for no valid reason. But what hurts most is seeing how it affects my son — the confusion, the loss, the questions no child should have to ask. I’m asking the Judiciary Committee to hold a hearing on H.1710 so no parent or child in Massachusetts has to go through this again.

Numerous studies, including a report by the American Psychological Association, have shown that children do better both emotionally and academically when they have strong relationships with both parents. It’s time Massachusetts embraced this evidence and took action for the betterment of its children and families.
