Urge LinkedIn to Recognize Orange County, CA as a Distinct Location

The Issue

We are the 3.2 million residents of Orange County, California - the third most populous county in our state and the sixth most populous in the United States. Our county is more populated than 19 American states and Washington D.C., yet we are not acknowledged as a distinct location on LinkedIn. This lack of recognition hampers our ability to network effectively and leverage local opportunities.

LinkedIn is an essential tool for professionals across industries. It helps us connect with potential employers, clients, colleagues and it's crucial that it accurately reflects where we live and work. By not recognizing Orange County as its own location, LinkedIn undermines our professional identities.

We urge LinkedIn to rectify this oversight immediately by acknowledging Orange County as a distinct location on their platform. This change will enable us to represent ourselves accurately on this global networking platform.

Please sign this petition if you believe in accurate representation for all locations on professional networking platforms like LinkedIn. Let's ensure that every resident of Orange County can proudly display their true location!

From Todd Herschberg,

It looks as though LinkedIn has once again removed Orange County as a geographic location. In other words, LinkedIn has listed the entire county as a suburb of Greater Los Angeles.

Back when OCEAN started back in 2007, enough of us raised our voices that LinkedIn acknowledged that Orange County has its own identity.

I believe that it's that time once again.
Let's show LinkedIn that OC matters.
