The Plaza will be opened

I am part of the working group and we’ve just agreed to an option to reopen Central Parade, Herne Bay.
The option includes keeping the one-way streets, with an option to review Richmond Street specifically after the Summer.
Keeping the oneway streets stays in line with Active Travel objectives in providing safer routes for pedestrians and wheelchair users.
Legally there does need to be a consultation process so in theory, Central Parade could be back to two way by end June 2024.
Thank you for all of your support and with your help we have made a difference.
Please keep an eye on KCC website for more details regarding the consultation.
