Katy ISD Board President Victor Perez learned the hard way that you don’t mess with Katy ISD’s namesakes. Our namesakes are educators who have selflessly dedicated their entire lives to serving our families and our community. These policy changes that targeted recent namesakes, James and Mitzi Cross, triggered a collective response that even our board majority could not ignore. 

Thank you to everyone who signed the petition, sent emails, showed up to speak, and showed up to listen.

Please don’t look away from what is happening to our District. Stay engaged in groups like Stand Up for Katy ISD, and keep fighting - and voting- for leaders who truly represent the interests and needs of our public school district.
